Arguably the best supported and most popular DIY streaming distribution. However, the authors' attempts to create an income stream from the project have led to it becoming increasingly proprietary. Many features can't be used unless you create an account, making this closer to freemium than FOSS. There's reasonable concern that the project will morph into one that's intended only to serve the authors' line of hardware streamers.

Still, it's a good option.
